  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Urgh - that was an expensive shopping session - diesel and then food [ which also had a fair amount of stocking up biggish/heavy stuff that was running down ]
I spend around $60/week on food and household necessities. But I do not shop every week. My last delivery was Saturday last week and my next will be Wednesday next week, so I spend around $100 per shopping expedition ... the nice thing is that the delivery is free.

I go and get mine - it allows me to look for the bargains - like my bananas .

They have a promotion at present - 7 for £1 but I spotted some in the reduced bin, for a bag of 10 for £0.86 !! That helps

If we get a bad winter I may get mine delivered but the snag is that the delivery of the order is made up at the local Supermarket not the Extra one which is the one I use about 1.3 miles away.

My delivery comes from 'warehouse' shops, they are usually larger supermarkets that have good truck access and plenty of storage capacity. That means that the groceries are usually fresher and better presented because other people haven't been squeezing and handling the fresh fruit & vegetables and the pickers for the delivery seem to choose the best stuff. On the whole it works out well for me since I hate grocery shopping in the shop and doing it by computer gives me plenty of time and lots of opportunities to add to and change the order before delivery date
