Reflecting on Prologue of the Catechism (1-25)

Angeldove, I have no thoughts on the short prologue except to say that it is good to study the Catechism. It is our great delight and duty to study the Deposit of Faith. The more we learn about revelation, the more we know God. St. Thomas Aquinas said that the contemplation of God is man's highest happiness, because we were made with the power to know the truth, and God is truth itself. In a way, our study of revealed truth is a foreshadowing of our eternal happiness. Here we see through a glass darkly, but there we will see Him as He is and be perfectly happy because of it. We can look forward to that future happiness now by loving the truth and seeking it daily.
