Okay, so about May 1st I began my last class teaching CNA's, Certified Nursing Assistants. The Federal funding ran out and no one really wants to pay for this class. I was semi-offered the LPN1 clinical rotation class for the same company. "I'm 90% sure she wants you to teach." Well 90% wasn't sure enough for me. But, I didn't want to be pushy. God has always provided a job for me. The LPN Coordinator knew I was interested in the position. In the mean time I started looking for jobs just in case this fell through. And my old computer is starting to get beyond repair. Hubby said "Honey, you need a new one."
I saw an ad in the paper for Nurse Surveyor. These are the people that inspect Nursing Homes to make sure they are up to standard. I thought to myself "Cool. Tomorrow, Monday, I'll fax my resume." That evening My computer was getting really bad. I need money for a new one, so I put my mini-van on ebay. It was an old van 1991 Previa. I was going to put it in the paper for 750 or best offer accepting 500 as the best offer. But thought I'd try ebay first. I had a local person message me to see if she could look at the van. I said "sure". We set the time at 10AM. This was Memorial Day Monday and my family and I were going to a picnic at 10:30AM. She liked the van. asked me how much, I told her the BIN price was $500 and it cost $42 to list the van, how about $550? she said okay. The banks are closed I'll bring the money tomorrow at 10AM. The next morning I was in the process of gathering my resume and I was looking for a letter of recommendation to fax along with it. It's getting near 10AM. I said "Lord, if you want me to get this job I need to find that letter." 10AM the doorbell rang. I handed over the keys and title. 10 minutes later I walk back into the house and there's a message on my answering machine "Sue I definitely want you to teach the LPN class, I've just been very busy, I'm so sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner." I said "Okay, Lord." and called to confirm my new position. I still haven't found that letter.

But wait there's more ...
I go to a political meeting with hubby. He's a member, but I'm not registered in that party, I just want to be more involved in the community. So the chairman is speaking and he says there's a need for someone to make phone calls and secretarial stuff for this committee and they have no one to run for Town Supervisor or Town Clerk. After the meeting I went up to him and told him that I would make some phone calls and stuff after the 20th of June because I had a couple of weeks until I began teaching the LPN's. Then I get to chit-chatting with the other folks there and get ready to leave, I speak to the committee chairman again before I go and say "Oh, by the way, if you cannot find someone to run for Town Clerk, I will." The following Thursday there is a message on my answering machine "We're having a meeting Saturday 9AM." I'm thinking I need to be there to take notes so I can make phone calls, so I bring my pen. I get to the meeting and the chairman is telling of the number of signatures that is needed to be on the ballet and then he says " And Sue, here, is running for town clerk." That's when I find out that I'm running for Town Clerk. so, now I'm on the campaign trail.

No, but sometimes I feel stuck in the teens ... I rebel a lot and usurp authority sometimes. I need to work on that.
