All movies that I would watch tooI think Monster House was my last A movie (A-). I was really impressed with the capture technology and I enjoyed the story too. (And the behind the scenes stuff was a real treat too!)
I also enjoyed Akeelah and the Bee (A!). The other movie I gave an A to was United 93 (because it's very well done with no flaws and it isn't exploitive though it's a tragic movie).
I think I only saw one movie on the big screen this year (X-Men III).
For all the hype a lot of people were expecting more... and to think, I almost went to see it on the big screen! Glad I didn't now...It was one of the ones I bought new but I was a little disappointed. Maybe I was expecting a little more out of Pixar than I should of. (I gave it a B.)
I forget what that one was all aboutA movie I was looking forward to seeing on the big screen earlier this year (but managed not to) was The DaVinci Code. After seeing the DVD, I'm glad I didn't. (I gave it a B-.)
It's a Ron Howard directed film with Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellan, Jean Reno and quite a few others. Most Christians hated the book because of its controversy with saying that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had children. That's the "big secret" that Hanks and Tautou are trying to discover.I forget what that one was all about

(The book didn't bother me except that it's not really that well written. The movie should have been better but I just didn't buy Hanks in that role. I was especially bummed because it had two of my favorite foreign actors in it - Tautou (from Amelie (A-)) and Reno (from Leon: The Professional (B+)) - both movies are among my favorites.)
Yep. Natalie Portman's debut. Also had Gary Oldman as a bad cop and Danny Aiello as Reno's friend.Oh yeahI can't imagine tom hanks either... the Professional is an older movie, right?
If it's the movie I'm thinking of, she was still just a kid, really, and seems like Gary Oldman always plays a bad guy!Yep. Natalie Portman's debut. Also had Gary Oldman as a bad cop and Danny Aiello as Reno's friend.
The international version (Leon:The Professional) has additional scenes that make it even better!
That's the one!It probably is the movie you're thinking of. Oldman murders her family and she ends up with Reno and learns the trade of hitman!
I just might make my goal of 2500 posts by the end of the year. With tonights posting frenzy of over 60 posts, it might just be within reach!
