Quitting Smoking, Too

Praying for you. I pray you are able to beat this terrible addiction. My mother took up eating sunflower seeds to keep her hands and mouth busy. Also, maybe try chewing on a straw or something. Just a few suggestions I have heard. Hope it may help!

I have prayed for you to have the strength to fight this addiction . I have not been addicted to nicotine but my husband was. He would chew tobacco (gross! ) which has I think about five times the amount of nicotine as regular cigarettes. He had been doing it since he was 12 and had tried a number of times to quit in the past. In Aug 2003 he decided to quit again and this time he kicked the habit and has been free from it ever since! He still has days when he has cravings, not from the nicotine but from the habit and the fact that he liked the taste. He also used Smoke Away which he said really did help. But know that you CAN kick this habit! Pray to God for strength every time you need to smoke .

been there done that. I struggled with this also. If you can get the patch,it will help you alot. Also,pray through your withdrawls,there is power in prayer if you believe Lord give them strength to overcome as you have already done.
