Well, I haven't been on these forums in quite a while, but I want to get some input on art/church history related topic.
If you don't know who Lucas Cranach is, I'll fill you in quite briefly. He was a painter and friend of Martin Luther who also made what is probably the most famous portrait of Luther. (It's the one on Wikipedia if you're interested)
That being said, I find it rather interesting that Cranach was also a painter of erotica. My question then is: How could he justify this kind of work?
