Trying my first crown royal maple. It's my desert after a meal of Czech sausage, sour kraut, cheesy mashed potatoes, and shiner bock.It tastes like a stack of pancakes saturated in Whisky.

Well, one would need to be in the mood for it. They hit the pancake flavor perfectly. It is much sweeter than rum. It is similar in sweetness to a schnapps but it is still obviously Whisky. Right now I think it is interesting but if I was in the mood for something non sweet I wouldn't want this.
