The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
What a way to start a Psalm. God is my shepherd, he cares for me and I have need of nothing. Jesus even reiterates it when he came that you should not worry of nothing because as the Creator of all things he will provide for you!!! Awesome!!
It is interesting to note that God "broke" Moses into being a leader when he was a shepherd in Midian. David was also a shepherd before he became a leader of Israel and then there was Amos....... The anology of God being the Shepherd and provider for his believers is awesome.
Scholars argue disagree whether this was written by David and his co authors or after the exile from Babylon. Either way to know that God always provides for me is enough.
Just thought I would share that.
God is my strength
