Since historically speaking, all evidence shows that Peter started the Church in Rome and was with Paul where both were martyred, Peter on a cross and upside down and Paul was beheaded because he was a Roman citizen. I have never seen or heard any evidence contrary. So, this seems like a question that can only be answered one way.
