I wanted to share that protecting your computer and your online security should be considered as an important prepper topic.
First my computer has been compromised for a long time. When I would post something online and checking up on the content immediately what I posted was removed as if someone/persons can see what is going on my computer screen whenever I use the computer in real time. For example, this happened to me on Pinterest and when conducting Google Searches. Recently I also had an experience where I had plugged in my headphones and began hearing strange clicking noises as if pictures, images of my computer screen was being taken. When I plugged out the headphones immediately the clicking noises stopped.
As a result of the above I have had to stop using the internet browsers I used (Google Chrome and Internet Explorer). I also had to install TCP Viewer in an attempt to discover and prevent persons from compromising my computer.
Below is an article from FireFox showing how trackers are being used perhaps without you being aware of it

Cryptominers
Cryptominers are a type of malware that use your system’s computing power to mine digital money. Cryptomining scripts drain your battery, slow down your computer, and can increase your energy bill. When your privacy settings are set to Standard (the Firefox default) or Strict, cryptominers are being blocked.
Generating cryptocurrencies usually requires solving a complex cryptologic puzzle, a resource-intensive process that takes a lot of computing energy and power. To evade the cost, cryptojackers deploy these scripts on other people’s computers without their consent to leach energy and power.
Tracking content
Many websites load external ads, videos, and other content with tracking code from other companies. For example, a website may embed a video from a video platform. The code that loads the video contains trackers. Blocking tracking content can make sites load much faster, but parts of pages might not work correctly or appear at all.

The Facebook "Like" and "Share" buttons that appear on shopping, news and other sites contain Facebook trackers. Even if you don’t use them, Facebook uses these buttons to track you
