No, I was being sarcastic. Are you for allowing a young child (talking far younger than 16/17) marrying if the parents say ok?
Where I live, the parents have to consent to allow a 16/17 year old to get married, but no one younger than 16 can ever get married (until they reach 16).
Why isn't polygamy acceptable to you then since God supported that for thousands of years?Well, if a person is married in another religion they are still following the concept ordain by God, still in his ordinance set forth in Genesis of being a man and a woman.
Because at least 2/3rds of Americans know absolutely nothing about their own government. Our success as a nation has rested on the laurals of a very few.Why does a Canadian like me who's been to the States a handful of times know more about the nature of the US government, how it is structured, and how its Constitution works than a US citizen?
So much for the will of the people.
Psalm 137:9?Parents in cults give their kids up into such relationships. So I guess the state of California might as well allow the rest of the parents to do it. The state is becoming one, big, drunk the devil's Kool-Aid cult anyhow.
Anybody know what used to happen BIBLICALLY when cultures started sacrificing their children?
The Constitution does not stop majority rule, it limits it. The minority are not stuffing anything down your throat, they are asking for exactly the same rights as you have. I guess stuffing black rights down the throats of the majority was bad too, because the majority should have total control over anyone who isn't the majority.
The bill was voted in by the majority not by the minority. That is the way it works in a democracy. That is my beef when a court disregards the will of the people in favor of an agenda.

So, let me get this straight. Based on 5 extremely vague verses, mistranslated in the English Bible, you have no problem denying thousands of rights to gay people, but you have no problem allowing those who do not believe in God and think the entire Bible is a giant joke to marry, so long as they have different anatomy? In other words, you're saying God is more offended about 2 people who love each other and worship him getting married because they have the same anatomy, but God is less concerned with those who completely deny his existence getting married?I am not familiar with your marriage situation to comment. As with all my votes, I would vote according to the will of the Lord and his teachings.
Point being it would not be contrary to what he ordained.
They might grant it to a 16/17 year old, but do you really think they will grant it to someone younger?
Then again, I have seen the court do things that are even crazier than that, so...
No, I was being sarcastic.
Only if you take the entire Bible Belt with it.Someone dares to mention California and moral in the same sentence?
Sodom meet Gomorrah. California needs to slip on into the ocean and we can tack New York and Massachusetts to it.
So the schools should still be segregated and interracial couples should be arrested for defying nature and women should not vote and the handicapped should have no rights? The bill was voted in by the majority not by the minority. That is the way it works in a democracy. That is my beef when a court disregards the will of the people in favor of an agenda.
So your rant about the sanctity of marriage only applies to minorities you wish to discriminate against?Well, if a person is married in another religion they are still following the concept ordain by God, still in his ordinance set forth in Genesis of being a man and a woman.
Exactly. It's California. They will find a way to do it and name it the "But They are In Love" law.
99% of the electorate can say no, and one person will want it and some rogue liberal judge will make it the law.
We both know the conservatives would be up in arms about this, which just proves that this has nothing to do with the "will of the people", it's pure prejudice because gays are "icky" - nothing more.Would it be fair for the majority to vote to make Christianity illegal?
