The "Rapture teachings" are so obvious in the scriptures. It is not found in the OT, or the FGs. The "Teaching" is found in the Epistles of Paul. You know the scriptures. Study them.
Where is the 2nd coming/"Parousia" shown in Revelation?

Matthew 24:3
He is yet sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came to Him according to own, saying,
`Tell us, when shall these be? and what the Sign of the Thy ParousiaV <3952>, and of the together-finish/sun-teleiaV <4930> of the Age?' [Daniel 12/Revelation 19]

1 Thessalonians 3:13
Into the stand-fast of ye, the hearts blameless in together-holiness before the God and Father of us
in the Parousia <3952> of the Lord of us, Jesus Christ, with all of the holy-ones of Him [Zech 14:5/Revelation 19:11.]

James 5:8

be ye patient!, also stand-fast the hearts of ye, that the Parousia <3952>of the Lord is nigh;

Perhaps the armies coming with Christ in Reve 19 are those ones that have been "raptured", including the Apostles?

Reve 19:11
And I perceived the heaven having be opened and Behold! A white horse and the One sitting on it being called Faithful and True
and in justice He is judging and is battling.
14 And the armies, the in the heaven, followed to him on horses, white, having been..............................

Rapture Index 180
Net Change unch
Updated Jan 25, 2016

Rapture Index of 100 and Below: Slow prophetic activity
Rapture Index of 100 to 130: Moderate prophetic activity
Rapture Index of 130 to 160: Heavy prophetic activity
Rapture Index above 160: Fasten your seat belts

The Rapture Index is by no means meant to predict the rapture, however, the index is designed to measure the type of activity that could act as a precursor to the rapture.

You could say the Rapture index is a Dow Jones Industrial Average of end time activity, but I think it would be better if you viewed it as prophetic speedometer. The higher the number, the faster we're moving towards the occurrence of pre-tribulation rapture.

I don't believe there's a pre-tribulation (or mid-tribulation) rapture. I cannot find it in Scripture. I looked for it when I was a teenager and rather than finding pre-tribulation rapture, I became convinced of a post-tribulation resurrection-gathering. Then I studied the Old and New Testaments as an adult, pulling out every reference to the Tribulation, return of Christ, millennial reign of Christ, gathering of believers, etc. After organizing them, I've written a book about why I have this conviction and why I think it's important for the Church today to consider. (It's not published yet.)

The method of Bible study you cite--which sounds kind of like a Russian roulette approach--isn't wise to rely on because it's too easy to take Scripture out of context. It's better if you study whole chapters, books, etc. Also, I encourage you to let Scripture teach you and not your feelings. The enemy can feed us thoughts, and they can seem okay but not be true. That is why Scripture commands us to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. For example, some people have heard "God" telling them to leave their wife/husband and start up a romance with another woman/man. That isn't God! It violates Scripture, which clearly teaches that adultery and divorce (except for marital unfaithfulness) are sins that God hates.

If you are willing, I recommend going through this short Bible study to start. Please carefully consider the questions without reading my answers too fast. This reflects the beginning of my journey. (It's a Word document I created--my lesson plan for my Bible study group):

You are correct that we need to practice obedience continually to prepare for His return.

I invite you to read this Bible study, too, which I shared with the person who started this thread: https://app.box.com/s/zg24s1g30xz8rgxq5q8m4x415ihj01e2

Yes, I believe that Jesus will bring the Christians who have died with Him when He comes. That's the context of Revelation 19, and it says so also in 1 Thessalonians 4:

1 Thessalonians 4:14-16
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

Raptureready.com just teaches pre-tribulation rapture, which I don't believe is supported by Scripture. For example, consider the parable of the tares in Matthew 13 (also Jesus' interpretation of it, later in Matthew 13). Notice that the wicked are destroyed before the righteous are gathered at the end of the age. And the righteous are kept to grow alongside the wicked until end. This is in direct violation with the popular pre-tribulation rapture teaching.
