  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

yes He can hear your prayers silently I say mine quietly out loud because I just do not feel like I have prayed until I have, but I am just odd that way.

some people pray out loud becuase he hears you better, but he knows what you are about to say next or even in your head, so you can pray either way. I like to pray in my head, infact, sometimes I don't say anything at all, and just pray, then I like to figure out what I prayed for. Gluck praying.

If you pray silently is it the same as praying outloud? Is it better to pray outloud then silently (whispering) can God hear your prayers if you pray silently?

I pray outloud during the day, and at junctures inwardly, but my main focus at night before sleeping... when I am on my bed or taking baths... is inward praying.

I believe that when we speak out our prayers, the speaking confirms what we are thinking. We speak, because we want to confirm what we think. It is like writing a cheque, but it is only valid, when we sign it. So, our thought become valid, only when we speak them out. Our speaking is our confirmation of what we think and believe. Even our own salvation depends on us confessing with our mouth, that Jesus was risen from the death, as it is written in the book of Romans.

The important thing is what's in your heart and your motivations. When we pray sincerely, it doesn't matter whether it's quiet or loud. There are a few "wrong" examples in the Bible like praying out loud to impress others or using repetitive babble like pagans, but literally hundreds of examples of good prayer in many forms. I usually pray silently, but I like praying together with others in church with a sense of unity.

Paul tells us to pray with "all prayer". I usually pray in my heart, but sometimes it is beneficial and right to pray aloud. There is a unique power in it when it is called for.

sometimes it is better to pray out loud. WHEN YOU PRAY OUT LOUD. YOU are DECLARING the word of God.

When it was written, if you believe with your heart and CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH that Jesus is LORD

So in many cases, words spoken are far better. IN THE BEGINNING GOD created the heavens and earth. What did God do?

HE SPOKE

and things came into being. God didnt think things into being. He spoke it. What im saying may look like it doesnt really matter but trust me it does.

Its ok to pray in your heart when you are meditating, and just in those quiet moments. But make sure there are times you are declaring God's words with your mouth.

In Heaven, angels, the saints all CRY OUT. There is no silence in Heaven well except when required. Most times, its all PRAISES unto the most High God and they always CRY OUT in loud voices!

Keep practising praying out loud if you re not used to it. Even when reading the bible. You will find when you read out loud, things can register in a different and whole new way

and when i say 'out loud' i dont mean screaming or shouting. I meant speak it with boldness and conviction
God bless!
