  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Becksy: Perhaps it would help you out a bit if you could find an inner peace? A place within yourself that actually creates it's own peace. Of course, we're talking about help from the Godhead here, but there are ways to funnel through the mess of life to find it.

I honestly can't speak for you, but I know that for me I sought to fully and 100% know myself the best that I could. I just re-read a post that I posted 3 years ago where I rebuked someone in the name of Christ (such blasphemy ) for NO good reason what so ever.

I felt like someone had kicked me in the gut. I couldn't even believe I wrote that at all, and it became clear to me that at 24 I was wired with almost pure nasty.

I am NOT saying this is the case for you, but looking back on my life I can see that I did NOT have much of a stable foundation as I might have thought.

What do you picture in your mind as peaceful? Seek and ye shall find. Seek peace my dear!
