  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I would like to put a prayer request in for my husband and my self.

My husbands name is Steve, he was involved in a motor vehicle accident some 6 years ago and medically he should be here, it is a miracle, he is working as a Painter/decorator, owns his own business, but the last 6 months has been very hard for him, he has found that the pain, internally and externally is really starting to get him down, he is not one to complain, so the very fact that he is mentioning he is in pain, means that he is really finding it hard to cope. the injuries from the accident are as follows: head injuries, back injuries, knee, hip, feet and knees. internally, is the stomach, his intenstine was taken out, or most of it as it was gangareen, he had 40 minutes to live before they found that out. so he cannot eat many things without affectinghis stomach.

Me, well i need the strength to be the support that he requires, the very fact that he is alive is a miracle, but sometimes it wears me down hearing him say how much pain he is in and not able to help him, at times, i wish i had the pain for him, even if it was only for 24 hours, just to give him relief. I am so blessed to be his partner, but at times, i find it hard to cope with the emotional pain of it and often get depression, infact I am on medication for it as at this time as I was not able to handle it very well at all.

Thanks so much for putting this on the prayer chain, it is a lovely comfort to know that I have so many sisters and brothers to pray for us.

God bless you all.

Lynne (spitfirebabe)
