  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

To all prayer warriors,

Please pray for someone that I hurt deeply over a serious misunderstanding. I did not mean to hurt him, but now he wants nothing to do with me. We had a long distance relationship which he seemed fine with, but I wanted to find ways to spend more time with him. We corresponded by e-mails and I ended up getting over anxious around the holidays (end of Dec.) and said something in a couple e-mails that I shouldn't have stated -- I was curious about something that he said hurt him -- I didn't know what I had written was hurting him because he never told me -- then I assumed he didn't want the relationship anymore because I hurt him and he would not call me or e-mail for several days - the rest is history. Anyway, please prayer that God will help him to realize that I am not someone that goes around hurting others and how very sorry I am, that this person will one day forgive me, that God will give him a peace of mind, and bless him with the woman he deserves.
