  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just wanted to post a prayer request and any comments or replies that will be helpful are more than welcome. I have the opportunity to move in with two really great friends that I love and appreciate their friendship and advice they give more than anything. And I am already dead set on moving in, I have been waiting for the chance to move out since I was 16! And my family knows of it, but they don't think I am serious about the whole thing. But the only thing that holds me off is without me being a student and not having a full-time job I am under a plan through my parents insurance and if I move out I won't be able to be covered under that..... So to get to the prayer request, I just need prayer for decisions with my present job, whether to continue with the traveling nanny or to quit and get out in the real world of jobs. Thanks.

Before you move out give it a VERY big amount of prayer. Oftentimes we are in such a hurry to have something that we "jump" when the opportunity arises. Your post doesn't really address your reasons for wanting to move out, so it's very difficult to address. I believe you should have employment that will allow you to pay your own way, before you do (unless there are extenuating circumstances). No matter how wonderful your friends are, you don't want to be in a position where they are supporting you. Insurance is wonderful to have, but should not be your primary deciding factor. Seek the LORD's guidance, I don't think anyone can give you adequate advice without enough information about your reasons.

We lift unto You our sister Betsy asking that you give her Your guidance and comfort. Lead her LORD to make the right decision according to thy will. Give her the courage and strength to adhere to thy will, FATHER, whether it's what she wants to do or not. Give her peace of mind and bless her abundantly as she strives to live for JESUS.
