  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have this awesome friend who's 15 and she has a terminal brain tumor. Even though there are times when I question my faith, I truly do believe there is a God, for I've felt his arms around me in my own times of need. I would like to ask people to pray for a miracle so that my friend can have the chance she deserves to live out the rest of her life. I know there must be a plan for her, whether God feels that sometime within the next two years it will be her time to go to heaven or if he will find a way to cure her, that's his choice and I'm leaving it up to him. please just try to keep her and her family in your prayers!

Father,

Thank you for this girl and the 15 years she has been here so far. I pray now that she is comforted and that everyone will enjoy the time she is here whether it be for the next 90 years or whether that time will be cut short. We all know you have a plan for her and those around her. If it is your will Father, heal her. If not, please heal those around her. Father, I pray these things in Jesus' precious and Holy name. Amen.

I am praying for your friend and her family. She is so young...I feel that although sometimes we can't understand why things happen the way they do, someday we will understand and for now all we can do is try our best to take care of each other and love...

I've watched Lizzie grow up from the time she was probably 3... she is an amazing girl and I Love her dearly!

I have been praying for her since I heard, and will continue for years to come.

God has a plan for that whole family and he will use them as he pleases! (Hard to imagine!) But hopefully his plan is a miracle so that she can go on...

I talked to Lizzies older sister today... She is a very scared little girl, but she is very brave! She has had troubles with cancer before and beat it and she is very optimistic, so Gods will shall be done in this instance!
