  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Father, please wrap Fields in Your arms.
Let him know how much You love Him, Father, how very important he is to You.
Protect him, Lord, keep him safe.
Fill him with Your peace, lift the darkness and pain so that he can see You again

God is eternal, tho - and He really does love you loads!

And He really does understand. Read this:

Psalm 31:9-10

9 Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress;
my eyes grow weak with sorrow,
my soul and my body with grief.

10 My life is consumed by anguish
and my years by groaning;
my strength fails because of my affliction,
and my bones grow weak.



And yet, the psalmist goes on to say:

14 But I trust in You, O Lord;
I say "You are my God."
15 My times are in Your hands..



Just keep holding on to Him, and He will not only bring you through the hard times, He will use them to bless you.

I am so sorry that you are having those thoughts. I know that it is a miserable feeling because I have the same thoughts every day. But, I know that our lives are in God's hands. Sometimes it is difficult to press on and it seems like nothing will get better. I just try to remember that suicide is not God's will. There is a reason that we are here - a plan and a purpose. Hang in there. Please know that I am praying for you.

fill this man with ur light and ur glory, by the sounds of his troubles, he is going down the wrong path. open the doors to ur light and close the ones to darkness. let him feel ur spirit overwhelm him in joy oh LORD. let him have tears of joy running down his cheeks as he praises u on those sunday mornings.
