• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

thankyou all for you help, prayer and abvice.
i think under estimating his power is far more dangerous. he is defeated in christ, but often that requires us maturing to a certain place where we can use the kind of power we need in order to overcome certain demonic strengths. i mean, babes in christ have power over the enemy as far as their potentail is concerned, but they are not ready to struggle with the greatest of satans power.
jesus has defeated him, but that must be aprocreated in our lives, it must accomplished, brought to pass. jesus defeated him on the cross, but we must struggle and defeat him again and again everyday of our lives.

I think you and I talked about this on IM a while back, but I'll restate what I said. When dealing with demons, it's not enough to just say the words; "leave evil spirits, in Jesus's name." You have to really believe and have faith that they will leave..you have to be strong and forcefull...and you also have to be patient, and keep on repeating exorcistic prayers until you feel they have left. If demons sense weakness, they will not leave because they will not be afraid.

I would try to develope your faith in ridding evil spirits. Mine was developed through dreams, interestingly enough. In past dreams, I had been attacked many times by evil spirits...I would try and fight them with man's weapons like guns and would have no luck. Then I began praying in my dreams, and the evil spirits fleed, and the nightmare turned into a beautiful dream. Now I never have nightmares anymore because I have mastered that realm. Just for the sake of conversation, I have also conquered my fear of heights through my dreams as well. I can now fly at will, and travel anywhere I want..It's fun.

Try reading the book; "Deliverance from evil spirits" by; Francis McNutt. He has much experience with demonic influences and ridding people of demonic shackles. It's a good read and very informative about the nature of evil spirits.
