Did any of you catch the post-superbowl simpsons episode?
Once again, I am forced to decide whether or not to continue watching a show that I used to enjoy. I'll save any commentary on how the show, in general has been less funny in the recent years. My focus is the attacks on Christianity of late.
I don't mind a little religious joke now and then, and Flanders always provides some good ones. Simpsons used to be pretty open to poking fun at all religions but it's jumped on the bandwagon and devoted nearly half of last nights episode to bashing the Bible (and Christian media).
It was a long way to go to make fun (AGAIN) of the Passion of the Christ. By saying that Christians don't approve of current media and have been decided to make their own movies which are in result are more gory than regular movies. So we get to see three viginettes directed by Flanders where they (very incorrectly) make Bible stories all about blood and gore. It's just tiring.
