• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Any Jethro Tull fans?
Ah, Ya...!!!

Thick as a Brick was one of the first albums I got as a teenager from a girlfriend for my birthday. Saw them in Concert at Arrowhead Stadium in the late seventies--with Tull-avision.

Thanks Dan, for reminding me what a geezer I am!

Songs from the Wood is still one of my favorite albums of all time!
The Broadsword and the Beast was the first one I ever heard, I was instantly a Tull addict!
Aqualung, Minstrel in the Gallery, Crest of a Knave, oh, who am I kidding? They are all good!

Sorry, but this is too pointed, I'm going to have to call an admin.

Has anyone done the Mr. Rogers thing, where you come into your house and change your shoes and sweater??

Never done it on purpose.
Uh- oh. I'd better think about this one.
Does it count if you leave again right afterwards? Like, you're supposed to meet someone, and you're running late, so you change and go right back out. ?

I've been getting ready for a Garage sale that my sorority is putting on, and stupid me volunteered my house. House is clean, garage is ready. We don't have our stuff to sell yet, but DH is off today and will get that together when the rest of the group comes over to price (some were over last night). I had to try to make at least my family room child proof because I found out one of the ladies is bringing her 3 year old son, and he's a little bit destructive. Grrrr. Why does God always make you suffer when you volunteer.
