In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm going to confession on Thursday and I could really use some prayers. It's been several months since I've been to reconciliation and I've been slacking off big time. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will help me to make a good and complete confession and help me to put my sins behind me afterwards. Thanks!

Please pray that I am able to heal from my scrupulous obsessions which get in the way of confession more often then not (I'm currently in counselling for it, and so far, it looks like it could be of great help to me).

My priest always prays a little prayer before I confess my sins, and I thought it might help you. "Carrie, may the Lord help you to know your sins, and trust in His Mercy." It's SO simple, and yet very profound as well.

Heh . . . I started out praying for Inner Phyre and Rosa Mystica, and ended up praying for myself, that I might be more like both of you by becoming a more active member of this community and serve those at OBOB who have helped me so well in the past.

But I did pray for you guys, too. Honest ;-)

I'll be praying for you!! I've often found that when I feel very in need of confession that making sure that I take ten minutes a day to pray the DIvine MErcy Chaplet really haelps me to better trust in the mercy of JEsus and be confident in all of the invisible graces opoured out upon me in confession. Actually I'll offer that for you and ROsa today!!
