I figured I was being redundant in giving you info you already knew....

Glad Containers was what I was referring to.

My local market (Demoulas /Market basket) also have their own brand that are even cheaper.

Great for 'on the go' snacks to throw into an insulated lunch bag.

Way to go on the soup ~ continued prayers

First, (most, tho not all) UTI's are caused by E-coli bacteria. So
IF you want to be sure, have your Urine TESTed...
(to determine IF it's caused by e-coli) - IF it is,
then *D mannose*: a Simple sugar, works great

so Fortunately, no longer need UTIantibiotics.
Since D-mannose is not metabolized in us,
it doesn't mess with Diabetic BS either. (I'm not diabetic).
Mannose can be formed by the oxidation of mannitol.
It works by the disruption of adherence of bacteria in the urinary tract.
E-coli LOVE this stuff, so they let go of us, & grab it instead. And get flushed out too.

Since it is flushed out in 8 hours, I just need to drink...
2 cups q4hrs. w/2 caps, for a week, & I'm Good to go... I test my urine: NO bugs left.

You seem to be really up on things that help though Annie I think the thing about nurses is we are always 'doing' for others which isn't bad it is just the always part. we should really stop and check ourselves out more often I guess. I too need to drink more I just forget fortunately no UTI's so far this winter. The pumpkin soup sounds fabulous did you make it buy it are recipe/brand available. Where I work we cook with our special students once a week. Last week we made potato leek soup super easy and delicious. Happy snacking/drinking.

Tho I realized that, less than a decade into insanity, like:
25/8 persistent self-Sacrifice... to help everyone else,
comes at a High cost, called our very life.

re PUMPKIN soup: I made it last week of
1 fresh large baked Butternut-squash, 1 can of Pumpkin,
2 cups organic creamy Sweet potato soup, &
1 cup "Pacific" Chicken broth, & salad-croutons.
I just threw it all together until the taste I liked well enough

sorry to say I fell completely OFF the wagon: Fluid-wise again.

aside the above 8 Fluid-choices we have
Additionally:
1. Low-Sodium organic Chicken broth
2. Low-Sodium creamy Sweet-Potato soup, by Imagine
3. Low-Sodium organic creamy Tomato soup
4. Med-Sodium Veal stock, by Kitchen Basics
5. Med-Sodium organic Veggie broth
6. Med-Sodium organic Butternut-squash soup
7. high-Sodium creamy Carrot-Almond soup
8. high-Sodium Cashew Carrot Ginger soup
and who knows what else.

Why am I sharing all these? - Well, you may know someone in similar straights, &
you can help them by giving these Suggestions...
