  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Since they have come out with the new stamps online, design your own, even the common ones one your handwritten mail are worth tearing off and saving. Many hobby stores have starter kits, or you can go to your local library and look through their Scotts Stamp books and see which ones appeal to you. You may choose to collect by theme or country or color, or size or even artworks as many countries put their great collections on postage stamps. There is something for everyone and always something that is affordable.

Or if you see a pHilately convention in your area, attend and I am sure you will catch the bug!

You can always use your duplicate from those bags or one of the cheap collections from places like Czechoslovakia that issue many, many stamps and also have a cool etched look to them for craft projects. I once had a review before you buy sent to me with about 200+ Czech stamps and used them to cover an old TV tray table. I then protected it with water clean up polyurethane, still using it and it makes a very interesting conversation piece as well as a neat collage.

Also, I'm going through some of my collection lately and I'd be happy to mail you some of the extras if you like. I can't guarantee the quality since I just plunk them in to boxes and envelopes and send them off, but you might find some interesting ones.
