  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm sure most of you have heard of Phil Wickham, and maybe some of you know of his brother Evan Wickham. What do you guys think of them? I saw Evan in concert a month ago and the worship was so good. He led us so our eyes weren't on him but on Christ. I like Phil's first cd before he got famous more so then his new stuff.

I've seen Phil live 3 times (latest being last Friday). Was able to talk to him the first two times. Phil is real in his music, you can really tell he worships and loves the Lord. He's a cool and down to earth guy as well. The Lord works mightily in him and through him, and my friends and I were able to encourage Phil with those words so he may continue to seek the Lord's heart. Phil recorded his first CD (Give You My World) in his room. I've got all three of his albums.

And Evan's an awesome name. heheh

Phil Wickham is amazing. His voice is so passionate and his songs are so epic. I love him. I played "True Love" for special music on Easter and it was just PERFECT, and I was so happy that I knew the song because it's so beautiful. Makes me cry.
