Our small group will be ready for a new study in a few weeks. We have just completed Hebrews. My co-leader wants to do a study in what he/she thinks might be Paul's most uplifting letter. She suggested "X". I was surprised at his/her suggestion because I thought that "Y" and/or "Z" would probably be the most uplifting.

So....I'm anxious to hear from all of you. Which of Paul's letters do you find to be the most positive and uplifting? Feel free to explain 'why' if you feel so led.

If "X" comes up as frequently in the replies as "Y" and "Z"...then I will just consider it a matter of preference and go right along with his/her suggestion.

Thanks. I can't wait to hear what you all have to say.

II Timothy, as it was likely his last. At this point he had said most of what he thought needed to be said, and was mostly encouraging Timothy to be steadfast in his absence. The day of Paul's departure was at hand, and his needs were specific and simple. Mostly, he wanted to give Timothy encouragement to follow the LORD as he had begun.

All of them. None of Paul's letters end on a "downer." He always finishes his letters in praise of the Lord and the Love of God. I cannot see trying to define one as being more uplifting than any of the others.

Dear jomarc. You had quite a few replies of letters from Paul, may I suggest
Matthew 22: 35-40: Here Jesus Himself gives us some good advice. Jesus points out: " The first and great Commandment is: Love God with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds. The second is like it: Love our neighbour as ourselves. The second is like it: Love our neighbour as we love ourselves. Jesus also tells us: " On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." The Bible tells us " Repent and be Born Again,"
Change our selfish wishes and wants, to become loving and caring. God will see our loving efforts, and God will bless us.
In Matthew 7: 7-10: we are told: " ask and you shall receive," then thank God and share all Love and Joy with your neighbour, all you know and all you meet, friends and not friends. Keep asking for Love and Joy, then thank God and share all Love and Joy with all around you. The Holy Spirit will help and guide you, and Jesus our Saviour will lead you all the way: JESUS IS THE WAY.
That would be a most applicable Commandment to discuss. Jesus will be a great Help and Leader all the way. I say this with love, jomarc.
Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.
