As many of you will have noticed, there is no cross in the new cf logo. many people on cf have expressed concern and regret about this as everything our faith is based on rests on what Christ did for us on that cross.

I am attempting to get as broad a measure of opinion as possible on this subject, with a view to making representation to Erwin if there is enough support for the cross being returned to the logo.

Please vote and post your opinions here and ecncourage as many people as possible to do so.

Thanks

but being stuck on the cross isnt what our faith is about. Its about what came next, Jesus beat the cross, beat death & rose again!
If you live on the cross you miss the joy of what it was all about.
Yes the cross is what took our sin, Its so kool & amazing that Jesus bore that for us. Our lives wouldnt be the same without it but sometimes we look at the cross so hard for so long that we forget that thats not where the story ended.

all that said, yea I agree, it is strange & a bit wrong not to have the cross on the logo somewhere.

Generally speaking I am for crosses. I am so happy to see Salvationists wearing them on their lapels these days. I don't know that I am overly bothered. I think that the last two attempts at getting a cross that didn't upset people failing may be the reason why there isn't one now.

That has been suggested by a few people and I agree with the idea

There will always be those, sadly, who are always going to be looking for a fight.

Those people will still pick thei fights regardless of the cross being removed.

The two fish are of different sizes, they are not facing the same way, and one is above the other.

I can hear then loading up and preparing to let fly in GT as I speak

How true. If Jesus is on the cross, it's certain denoms, if he isn't it's others, if there are cross-bars, it's others... not to mention cross of St John, Malta, etc. etc.

The safest all round is the artistic "spraypaint" T in the name "Christian", rather like the logo on our more informal Salvation Army tops (or on uniform shirt pockets).

Personally, I'm not terribly worried, as long as we say the right (Holy-Spirit-inspired) things LOL.
