  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am amazing. I have heard that it is oe thing to be told something, and quite another to Know it. I have also heard that there is no imperfection. This example was given; that a crooked tree is a perfect crooked tree, otherwise it is a perfect straight tree. It is our perception that sees the straight trree as superior.

Therefore, I am as perfect a man as I can be. And I threw a perfect pity party.

This was said: the world one sees is but a perception. Things only mean inasmuch as the self l aces value in it.

It was also said that the self believes it owns its possessions, including the body. The body is in the world and of the world, and upon death will return to the world.

Therefore it was said: The self does not own its possessions. It is the possessions which own the self.

Twice did I believe that I owned a woman. In truth, it was the women that owned me.

The ideal realization is that happiness comes from within. The world we see is but a projection of value; the self puts tag on what it perceives, which invoke it to positionality. The self craves position. It craves feelings, thoughts, experiences, and believes it is the source of its life. This is what i wish to realize.

Are thoughts superior to feelings, or viice versa? This is a question asked by the self. I wish to realize that only the self takes position. The spirit has neither thoughts nor feelings. It simply is, without comment.This is what I have heard.

I have heard also, that it is more prudent, rather than asking "Who am I?", to ask instead "What am I?" It is said that there is no "who", that "who" is a consequence of identification with self. I wish to realiize this as truth.

If "who we are" is but a consequence of self, then all thoughts, all feelings, all desires are of the self.

If all thoughts, feelings, and desires are of the self, then it is as I have heard, that every thought, feeling, and desire is an illusion, of no true worth.

If all thoughts, feelings, and desires are but an illusion, then it is as I have heard, that we are held accountable for them.

Therefore all want is of the self. All perception is of the self. All identification with "good and bad", "right and wrong", "amazing and horrible' are of the self.

This is the truth to be realized.

Now I ask myself, if all perception and value is of the self, then what of lve? And the thought is perceived by the self that love, too, is an illusion.

I perceive that people date and marry for love, yet it appears that what they perceive as love is but another form of projected value. Is it truly the person one loves, or one's experience of that person?

I perceive that divorces and breakups abound, and I reason that it is the latter. There is no 'love" as we know it in the romantic sense, for that is a transitory feeling and a consequence of the self's investment in an object. One can romantically love an animal, if it serves the purposes of the self.

therefore, there is no 'falling in love", but only the experience of invested value, and there is no 'falling out of love', but a "beccoming uninterested." Therefore, romance is merely a dramatization of perceived value.

And the self realizes that upon further insight, it could gain terrible power over others. But this temptation is to be refused.

I have hed that the purpose of the self is in the survival of the body. Therefore, 'love' is a tool of propogation. It is a program designed to keep mankind alive.

Therefore, there is nothing personal in love. The "personalization' arises from identification with the tool that is self (no pun intended). What is experienced is a universal falsehood.

This is the truth to be realized.
