I am ready for my screenshot!

To a land without fear, darkness, and doubt;
Where shadows and hauntings
of all time and space,
Are rainbows with colors that endlessly grace...
happiness, hope, and all joys to embrace.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." (Revelation 21:4)
God has really spoken to me through this verse and this bible verse and it is one of my favourites. I find it very similar to the part of the poem that I have selected.
The verse from the poem that I have selected, very clearly speaks to me of what heaven will be like.
I’ve had many struggles in my life on earth so far. My little sister passed away and I became really fearful after that about losing another member of my family. My Dad then reminded me that we will all get to see her again in heaven. This highlights the happiness and joy that will be in heaven for all who have lost Christian loved ones and are reunited with them.
Most importantly we will be able to meet and spend eternity with Jesus Christ, I cannot think of anything more absolutely joyous or incredible.

I can't choose just a small section of the poem...it's beautiful..and here's what I thought while reading it, and why I'm dressed the way I am:

As a child, I'd sit in my closet and pray, I'd pray for wings to fly away from the pain and that closet became my pretend castle of sorts, I was free when I was in there, to fly through magical places, castles in the air.
I got a little older, and the ocean spoke to me, the waves wove melodies, the surf soothed me, again I felt free, and in both places I talked to God, though I didn't know Him yet.
Then a little older, much more broken, I met God, I was set free of the past, my life became hopeful, my castles in the air, became the Mansion in My Fathers House, and I wouldn't have to wipe my feet before entering, cause He saw me as He made me, clean and pure, free...at last.

I hope this isn't to long

I've picked this verse, because to me it means to be free like an eagle, which I have depicted in my screenshot.

Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:28-31
I love these verses and that's what the verse of the poem means to me. The strength that we get from our precious Lord, for all time, and with the sun shining through has removed all the darkness along with the pain, and brightens our wonderful Creator's colours.

Hello, Ruth

I'd like to enter and my character is ready now.

Like ForHisGlory, I decided to dress my character based on the overall impression the poem gave to me.

The sense I received after reading this poem was of the hope we have in Christ, and who is preparing a place in heaven for those who love Him. But for now, we are still journeying here on Earth, and so I chose the patchwork top to represent the joys and sorrows which colour the tapestry of our lives, and the jeans to represent the work we put into life on Earth, for ourselves, our families and for the Lord. I chose the Gardenia shield because one of my favourite verses is.....

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

2 Corinthians 2:14-15

.....as a reminder that though we look to the day when we are reunited with Christ in heaven, we have much to do while here on Earth for the Lord. And I chose the background because as we journey on, Christ journeys with us and carries our burdens for us. We are never alone.

I dressed my character as a dreamer, with her eyes closed, and her Bible in hand. She is flying with her wings into the proverbial sunset where the Lord awaits us and happiness truly begins.

You also must make your own interpretation of what the words mean to you and dress according to your interpetation.

It seems like you don't get the idea of this contest. Maybe try reading others examples to see how to do this.
