CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hey guys,


Most of you probably won't remember me. I was an active member on CF a couple of years ago, before the teens section had all those changes.

Anyway, while I was on CF I met a man, Chris, who went by the username Eladoni. We are now engaged!
I just wanted to say that I would never have met him if it wasnt for CF, and we would not have gotten to know eachother so well if not for the great Christian environment where we could talk about our faith together. He is truly a blessing in my life. We are getting married in June 2012.

I just wanted to ask the mods about really old threads, like from years ago. I have tried looking for them but they seem to be gone already. There doesnt seem to be any threads before 2009.. I really wanted to look back on some of our first conversations together and maybe include some of them in our reception video at the wedding. Is there any place these old threads are stored, or are they gone forever?

That's awesome! Congrats!

I don't believe they are on the database anymore, unfortunately, at least not on the user-accessed ones. Most everything got deleted apparently when a bunch of bad stuff went down. You might try to ask an admin or one of the moderators, they might have them saved in an archive somewhere or something.

I can't help you with the problem, I think once it was gone it's gone unfortunately ): I know looking back and re-reading through everything would have been awesome and that's a really great idea. But you'll always have the memories And I really do want to congratulate you ^^ That's amazing and I wish you the very best Congratulations to both of you!!!

Well I didnt know this before, but apparently quite a couples in other parts of CF have been married after meeting on here. It's actually a really great environment to get to know somebody (even though it wasnt my intention when I first signed up).
The only difficult part about this is that he's American and I am Australian. We've had to go through a lot to try and stay together, as our colleges are in different countries. He's just finished a semester abroad at my university and I've done 6 months over there. I'll be heading back there in 6 months time. It will be a very long 6 months...

This story made me tear up a little... gah! I'm so happy for the both of you, and I wish you both the best! I can't believe this, it's such an amazing story!!! I feel like over using explanation points. A lot of people do meet the person they marry on CF. It's great! Congratulations from the bottom of my heart.

I'm sorry about not being able to find the old threads. I tried doing the same, but they were nowhere to be found.

I've been doing pretty well! God has gotton me though the worst and I've been prainsing him in both thee good and bad times. I'm going to college and I'm majoring in English (unsure about this). I've been doing really well there dispite being homeschooled for so long.

I also post around the singles section, I'm almost 20 so I wont be able to post here for long. So you can find me there too.

Besides being happily engaged, how have you been?
