It's about Russia invading and occupying Norway in the near future. The U.S. has achieved energy independence and has withdrawn from NATO, and the Russians are acting at the request of the European powers who are concerned about a massive recession caused when Norway stopped drilling for oil. Norway, as a consequence, stands alone against Russia. Ostensibly, the occupation is an industrial occupation designed to bring Norway's oil production back up to full capacity and then the Russians will withdraw. But it's Russia, and that isn't how things work.

The mood is extremely intense, and the writing and acting are good. There are a couple of things that I find politically implausible, but if you can swallow them, it's quite compelling.

Yeah. There are a couple of implausible political elements that you have to overlook for the sake of the premise, but if you can swallow that, as you say, it's so well written. So intense.

My dad watched it while I was in the room. He liked it. You really have to pay attn to it & not multitask cause it's in Norwegian so you have to read the subtitles if you don't speak the language. It looks pretty interesting. I think I'm too inattentive for it, lol.
