Sonic CD. I downloaded it on the PSN. I couldn't resist, even though I already own the original on the Sega CD, the Japanese version on the Sega Mega CD, the PC version, and the PS2 "Sonic Gems" with it on it. There are a few minor differences in the newest version, but it's the same game in 98% of areas. Everyone get it!!! It's only on XBLA, and a few different mobile phones (I don't know anything about mobile phones).

  • I just wish it wasn't so tedious of a game; one or two playthroughs and you've pretty much exhausted the replay value save for unlocking all 101 ships...I eventually just get to the point of setting Invincibility on and letting the game go on autopilot.

I haven't played R-Type Final in a while. When I get in the mood for R-Type, I usually boot up the original on the Turbografx-16. Sometimes on the PS1 R-Types disc, but that means loading times. I also really like R-Type III on the SNES. I'll have to get another copy eventually.

Tonight, I did a bit of gaming on my Saturn:

-I finished my save game on Guardian Heroes. I beat it by defeating the sky gods this time.
-I played a few levels of Super Tempo.
-I played a few rounds of Street Fighter II Turbo on the Capcom Generations 5 disc. I got sick of the high speed and switched to Dash/CE. I generally play as Ryu.
-A few minutes of Sexy Parodius, until I crashed into a wall in about stage 3 and died. Then I shut it off. I'm going through a phase where I try to get as far as I can on one life. I actually beat SNES Gradius III like this (but on easy mode)! I ALMOST beat Salamander (Life Force), but blew it near the end.
