non judgemental advice needed

over a couple of years now i've been really into tickling as weird as that may sound to some of you. i first got tickled when i was like 12 by my older brothers girlfriend and we both had a fun time with that just playful stuff. But ever since that time and even more so now that my parents got our Gateway Computer like 3 or 5 years ago i've been somewhat kinda more into tickling. every once and awhile i'll look at tickling video clips online and tickling images (pictures) online through different various tickling websites and using search engines. and please keep in mind that all theses tickling video clips that i watch and tickling images (pictures) that i look at the girls are all fully clothed. i refuse to look at any naked and nude tickling content online. i've talked about this several times with a fellow female member of this website that i consider to be special dear friend of mine in christ and just an all around buddy. shes told me and feels that i am getting arousal out of looking at all this tickling content online like i do. But frankly i don't see how i can get arousal out of a simple few tickling images (pictures) online or by watching a few tickling video clips online. i don't feel really that i do get arousal out of this to be honest! but she feels that i do. and since i don't get tickled that often ingeneral or nor do i tickle other people that often ingeneral. But i honestly do not feel for myself personally that i get any sort of arousal out of tickling i just feel that its a fun thing for me and that God created it for all people to enjoy and have fun with in there day to day lifes when things get to stressful or when they just wanna act silly at times. so please i wish you all would read my entire post and think it over then give me your thoughts and comments on all of this .

i know this may sound a bit trite, but what do you think God is saying to you about it? everything we do in life as Christians should be with a view to honoring God - not always easy though obviously.
There have been several things in my life that although they are not necessarily that terrible, other people had issue with so i stopped doing them because it was affecting another's faith and it wasn't such a big deal to me really anyway and i wanted to live a pure life. Maybe its a bit of a weird way to live but i now go with 'if in doubt throw it out' kinda lifestyle.
There are things that while they're not wrong per se they are unwise. In this instance if there are naked pictures of tickling even though you don't look at them now it may lead into that - hence it is unwise to look at clothed pictures of tickling etc...
But it all comes down to you and God - what is He saying to you about it?

If you don't get arousal out of looking at the pictures then why do you look at them? Please let us be real people, none of us are perfect and most of us have sexual flaws due to our expieriences in life. Try your best to keep it as innocent as possible, and don't hurt anyone in the process. I think you'll be ok. I don't really know anyone that doesn't have some sexual hangup. I look at porn sometimes and I hate it but as much as I fight I still fail. So, I don't worry about it and try my best to keep my will strong while doing my best to be like the good samaritan. We all have things we are working on and much of these things are not our fault...Like, you expierienced a tickleing incident involving an older girl when you were twelve. It's not hard to see how an expierience like that can take its toll on a young mans sexuality. God knows all these things, He helped me realize that though what I sometimes do sexually is wrong it's not something that is going to destroy my soul because my own personal life expieriences created those flaws, not my own natural self. That doesn't give us the right to embrace those flaws; we must continue to hunger and thirst for righteousness and even if we don't find it we are still saved because a Good Man died for all of our sinful flaws.

This sort of behavior is more at home with youthfulness , than with mature adults .

My advice is that you begin to leave this playful pastime , as a thing of your childhood , rather than a pursuit of your adulthood .

Well said FoundInGrace and I TOTALLY agree. With those sites you're visiting, you never know what you may find, whether they may be clothed or naked. After awhile the clothed pics may not do it for you and you may feel you need to move on to something a bit more graphic.

My advice was, is, and shall remain to avoid avoid avoid those sites now before it becomes any deeper. You know I speak to you out of care and concern though

People can get aroused by all sorts of things. Some people get turned on by shoes or a variety of other things. So it is certainly possible that some people may find tickling and even images of tickling to be sexually stimulating. A person doesn't need to have to physically engage in an activity in order to be aroused by thoughts or images of it. Of course it's impossible for me to know just how your mind works, since everyone is different. I'd suggest that this is something you should take to God in prayer, and perhaps discuss with a trusted older Christian man who is mature in his faith.

Some good (although not totally fool-proof) rules of thumb you could use as well:

-would you engage in the activity (looking at tickling pictures or whatever) with Jesus physically present in the room?
-do you think Jesus himself would engage in the activity if he were in your place?
-do you feel guilty about it afterwards?
-is it causing any problems for you in real relationships?

I think he means that it's important for each person to use his/her head and make judgements/decisions and figure out what is good and what is evil. If someone refuses to make judgements of any kind on an issue then by default they'll just go along with a judgment that someone else has made on it, and it will often be the wrong decision.

Desi: correct me if I'm wrong in my understanding of that and you meant something else.

Fishstix is correct about the variety of things people get arousal out of. There are shoe, clothing fetishes, tickling fetishes, and so much more. Those same people become members of forums that are based on nothing but those things.

Tickling in general, isn't bad. I tickle my daughters, but I don't look for tickling pictures, etc. on the internet because my interest in it is purely just to make my kids laugh.

When you look for those clothed pictures you ARE finding nude ones too, even though you don't look at them. You're still subjecting yourself to those images and we know the flesh desires those things, so I still say it's not wise to do so.

Also, if you feel it's truly innocent, do you feel comfortable looking at those images with even your parents in the room?

Just ask yourself the important questions (judge) and you'll know what you should do as some have suggested.

Well, we are to judge actions as right or wrong, but we are not to judge people...ever.

I don't see anything specifically wrong with tickling. The issue at hand is what it envokes in your mind and what your motivations are. Only you can answer that. Be honest with yourself and thin hard on it. If you are in any way associating this with sex or lust, then the Bible is clear on what to do. But, again, it is what is in your mind.

For example, some cultures say that ankles and hair should not be seen because it causes sexual arousal. This is not the case for us, so we don't worry about it. Hair and ankles are not evil, but the thoughts they envoke in some cultures are. What I am getting at is that it is not the event that is bad, but the intentions and the motive...in this case. Of course, there are some things that are sinful regardless, but I do not believe this falls into the category in any way.
