Non-Charismatics-What are they doing on here if they have no questions?

I do not know about you guys but this week I have grown very weary of non-Charismatics who come in with a feeble question so they can lob insults at all of us and mock. What are they doing trying to divide the body of christ when we actually all belong to the same one? Is it because they cannot handle our beliefs, envy of the miracles God bestows on our faith or what?

I saw I rebuke any demons operating in any non-charismatics and I command you to stay away from the charismatic forums in jesus' mighty name.

I am tired of persecution from the ignorant. How about you guys?

Maybe they're trying to show you what's on their heart. I will say that I know there are many here that are less than polite about their methods though. Heck I think I've been guilty of that a time or two.

Me too.. but when we say well we are quite fond of our beliefs and they persist and ignore any facts.. well I dont go on christian reformed sites and tell them they are evil!

With the greatest respect Lottedah this is a forum for debate and discussion which inevitably leads to disagreement, sometimes very heated disagreement. Non-chararismatics have points to express which are just as valid and relevant as yours or mine. Should they therefore be censored from a particular section because there views don't line up with yours?

Well, according to the rules yes. But there are other sections where charismatics and non-charismatics can debate all they want.

I've posted here for sometime already and I can see the benefit of having charismatics-only or RCs-only or whatever-only sections as they allow you to discuss and learn more from your own denomination without the intrusion and harassment of trouble-makers, provided the mods do their jobs.

eg: Here I can learn more about healing or tongue-speaking or casting out demons from fellow charismatics without having to answer the same old questions from non-charismatics who just want to attack, argue and criticise. Then instead of learning more, it just becomes another war and the thread gets locked.

Without this Charismatics section (and really good mods that protect it I must add) this wld not be possible. For eg, any WOF or WOF-like thread/post in the Protestants section will quickly be attacked -- with all sorts of insults, sarcasm by WOF-haters and self-appointed church policemen. You can't hold a decent discussion there without having your beliefs, denom and your fellow ministers labelled as heretics, false prophets, false teachers, crazies etc. And the worst thing is that this is not even allowed according to the forum rules, but the mods there seem to just close both eyes to it. So thank God that cannot happen in this section. WOF haters and critics won't last long here.

Of course, any non-charismatic who sincerely and genuinely wants to learn and find out more is always welcome to post and even debate a little (scripture support please). But it is easy to tell from one's tone/posts who are genuine and who just want to debate and criticise.

Nope. Let 'em IN I say.

If WE, the DOMINANT growing force in Christianity, are to be worried about those that think WE are wrong, then OUR movement, sweeping the world, is just plain chicken.

Around the world, Pentacostals face persecution, death, from Animists, Buddhists, Muslims, and secular communist goverments.

And HERE, we are afraid of some people with a keyboard??

Come on, develop your debating skills, take them ON I say, convince them, convert them, lead them.

Of COURSE they think we are nutso, what else is new? The FIRST Pentacostals, from Azusa Street, returned home, and faced persecution and ostracism from their home parishes and denominations. That is how the Assembly of God was formed, by those kicked OUT of the denominations they were then in.

So, the entire HISTORY of Pentacostalism is one of mainstream Christians laughing at us....as we outpaced them, overtook them, and now dominate them.

But I work and have a ministry and just like to come on here and share and learn not fight things I already know over and over and over!
God does step in occasionally and straighten them out.. Maybe that will happen someday on this forum

So, the entire HISTORY of Pentacostalism is one of mainstream Christians laughing at us....as we outpaced them, overtook them, and now dominate them.

This is true of every move of God. The faith movement has been undergoing rejection and ridicule by the traditionalists for a decade now. It has only served to solidify our unity and caused us to purify our teaching. I doubt there has ever been a collection of teachers and preachers who have been more scrutinized than WOF. Every word whether spoken or written has been examined and dissected to the Nth degree. But this has been really good for us because it has caused us to purify and clarify our doctrine. Evangelicals and fundamentalists were never subjected to this sort of nit-picking. They can pretty much make any analogy or free-form preaching/teaching and get away with it. There are some pretty loose teachings floating around these days, and I believe God is using the attacks that have been made at WOF toward a specific end. That end will be the eventual setting up of the restored office of the apostle. When god sets up the apostles, they will have the authority and power to set many of these things straight. When He calls them, they will need a solid, word-based doctrinal framework to stand upon, and I believe the WOF segment of the Charismatic movement is the only area that can support this office. They have a balanced Word/Spirit approach that is not so stodgy that it snuffs out the free flow of the Spirit, while at the same time they are strong enough in the Word so as to not be blown around by the "spooky spiritual" excesses we have seen in the Prophetic and ultra joy-popping Charismatic.

Hardly an "old salt" have only been a REAL practicing Christian, filled with the Holy Spirit for over a year now.

I'm NOT afraid now, the HS has seen to that. One of the forms of "Edification of Self" promised by Tounges, is fearlessness, and for me, that is happening.

Dont' get me wrong Bruce... I was prohesying, casting out demons, and running the benches a quarter century ago. But I am just saying we need a balance. It is great to have these manifestations! But they have to bear some sort of fruit. If we go away from a service and do not take anything with us in the form of edification... then what good did running those benches do?
When I say "spooky" stuff, I am talking about excesses we see like barking, mooing, acting like animals, and a bunch of other stuff that is just unseemly.

That's good to know. I appreciate the fact that there has to be specific forums aimed at specific groups, be them christian or non-christian, but surely those who are not necessarily charismatic but have an interest in the issues raised by charismatics should be not only allowed but also encouraged to post their objective, scriptually relevant views.

why is this Satan is higher in power that michael but tHE LORD HAS POWER TO SEND A MESSENGER TO SATAN to rebuke him

the scripture to fend off a satanic attack is in eph6:12-17 if you are interested but to fully understand this you need a good bible teacher to understand

your postion in Christ
how God wants to be worshiped
plus many more issues that are very deep that I do not fully understand

Don't worry about the persecution. They are on Charismatic ground. hehehe.. If cessationists dare to debate, everyone can gain up on them. ...just kidding about that.
