Age: 31
Height: 6'3''
Build: Average in frame, but incredibly well toned and built due to the conditioning of and for battle and life in the barbarian lands.
Hair: long, straight, and red, down to the bottom of his shoulder blades. He does not wear a beard, but he has a constant stubble on his face, due to lack of finely sharpened razor blades in his homeland.
Eyes: light green
Personality: Nicholai is a hero among his people, first and foremost. His tribesmen love him, and he in turn loves them. He is fanatically loyal to the cause of bringing them victory, fame, and power. Although... some for himself isn't such a bad backwater, in his opinion. He is an awe-inspiring sight on the battlefield, and is gifted in inspiring his men to follow him on perilous charges and dangerous, but almost always successful, maneuvers. His reputation and presence on the field can also be quite intimidating to any facing him. He would like to consider himself self-reliant, and only begrudgingly will he admit that he relies on his comrades and subordinates to win battles, and not just his might alone. He is haughty, but just barely not enough so to make himself vulnerable to underestimating a foe. He definitely lives for the theatrical flare and glory of battle, getting his entertainment from that alone, but he does not let it actually interfere with winning. Do challenge him to single combat if you wish to remove him from battle. Even if you die, it will be that much longer that he will be too busy showing off to lead his men.
Away from combat... well, he does not do much other than fight, prepare to fight, or bask in the glory of his last fight. He recieves much disdain for his focus on this one, rather barbaric part of life, but what it has brought his tribe keeps most disapproval silent. He knows this, too, and expects to be respected on and off the battlefield. He is obedient when in service of higher-ranking men, but he will NEVER be talked down to. Doing so could inspire him to assassinate you, should you find him in your command. Most leaders simply tolerate his bullishness for fear of having to look over their shoulders constantly, or await challenges to single combat.
History: Rather dull and boring, actually. Nicholai was born into a prominent family in the Aximun tribe, and was the apprentice of a tribal warlord, whose title he later inherited. His father, Aedan Dwarf-Toppler, had been famous for surviving and winning a battle against a band of Dwarven war-machines, and passed his knowledge down to his son. Though primitive their tribe was, they were far too stubborn to allow weaker warriors to subdue them with a "minor" advantage such as machinery. Though rare, the Aximun tribe and their gems such as Nicholai can still win battles against the Dwarves, even with naught but loose formations, boarders, and primitive siege weaponry. Even if they cannot win, they will atleast annoy the hell out of the dwarves until they give up pursuit, with mud pits, large but flimsy barricades of rock, designed to collapse on tunnelers, and other seemingly pointless devices.
After rising to power with help from his master and his father, Nicholai led his tribe to victory against other tribes until they assimilated enough to form a small confederation of tribes, giving Nicholai an army that was atleast 3,000 strong, and a reputation that was rare among even the greatest barbarians.
Arms and Armor: Nicholai wears heavy leather armor and furs into battle, as well as darkened steel breastplate, pauldrons, vambraces, greaves, thigh-plates, and a sallet helm. He carries no shield, and simply rides into battle with a voulge in hand, and two broadswords sheathed in an x on his lower back. He fights on horseback or in line formation with his voulge, and prefers to use his swords for single combat, or chaotic heavy combat.
