Welcome Doreen to CF! Its a blessing to know you have come to know the living Savior of the world after being lost. The angels of God were leaping for joy when you entered the sheepfold of the Great Shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus Christ!

Check out the different forums on here that list the topics under them & jump right in! I am above you in the beautiful state of WA. Sure is great to live in the PNW!

Luke 15:1-10 Now all the tax collectors & sinners were gathering around to listen to Jesus. 2So the Pharisees & scribes began to grumble: “This man welcomes sinners & eats with them.”

3Then Jesus told them this parable: 4“What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep & loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the pasture & go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? 5And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders, 6comes home & calls together his friends & neighbors to tell them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost sheep!’ 7In the same way, I tell you that there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous ones who do not need to repent.

8Or what woman who has ten silver coins & loses one of them does not light a lamp, sweep her house & search carefully until she finds it? 9And when she finds it, she calls together her friends & neighbors to say, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost coin.’ 10In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”

Thank you so much! I am really open to know about ways to integrate faith into my daily life.
Well, one thing that Christ gave us that is daily is the prayer He said to us to pray which is for deep necessities we need as Christians. It's in Matthew chapter 6 (part of the amazing and wonderful Sermon on the Mount, chapters 5 through 7, which are extremely helpful and powerful to strengthen us and guide us as Christians.)

9“This, then, is how you should pray:

“ ‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,

10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us today our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one. ’

...

He continued then: 14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

Matthew 6 NIV

The best way to read these 3 chapters (and all Christ said generally) is to really listen with all of your heart, and let the words soak in, and remember them.

Two practical ways to integrate a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ daily are:

#1 have a running conversation with the Lord all day long--thanking Him for the beautiful creation if outside; asking Him for wisdom in determining what to do; thanking Him for His ceaseless lovingkindnesses & His unfailing mercies (compassions)(Lamentations 3:22,23 "The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!) throughout the day!

#2 Memorize then meditate on Bible verses as you go through the day. A good one to start with is, of course: Lamentations 3:22,23. I did that many years ago & it is still a blessing to thank the Lord when I see an example of His lovingkindness or His compassions or His faithfulness when going through each day!

These verses my come from your daily devotional time (called a quiet time) where you spend some time to begin your day before work, etc., reading the Word & praying & dedicating yourself as the Lord's living sacrifice, servant & witness.

May the joy of the LORD be your strength! Doc

The answer to your question, "If God is your Father, who is your Mother?" is found in Gal. 4:26.
I’m pretty sure this isn’t the thread to discuss that.
