  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

just thought i whould stop in and introduce myself a little well first i came to this site by accident i was a member of another site untill i was hurt very badly by ppl

, so if i dont just jump in and start posting forgive me , as i am trying to get over that ,

i have been a christen for 7 months now and its been so hard i have all but given up on god so you might say i am starting to back slide a bit i have been hurt by to many ppl both off line and online but oh well anyways see ya around

i've had disappointment with my fellow christians at church...... many times i just wanted to quit, but as long as you're patient, God will open the door for you.

Welcome to the forums, and welcome to the world of Christianity. Gotta tell you, I get my feeling hurt a little now and then too. But you know why? Because for some reason, like Peter, I will take my eyes off Jesus and look at other people, and listen to their words.

The cure for it is to dust yourself off, and Re-Focus on JESUS. You say you have been a Christian for only 7 months, and by your profile, you are not attending Church. That is an important part of Christianity. It is a command from Jesus, just as it is to love one another, and pray for one another, and to bear one anothers burdens. It is vital to your Christian growth and maturity.

So dust yourself off, focus on Jesus, lose that angry smilie, and be blessed!
