New Feature: CF Quizzes!!!

I know I can be stubborn, but now I'm just really fed up. I have wasted like 100 blessings tonight trying to play 3 different quizzes. 60 on the Britmonacrh quiz and the rest on 2 quizzes that give you like 5 secs to complete a question and my link isn't taht fast. Can I have some blessings back please?

i know. i wasted loads too. it kept coming up with "you cannot answer the same question twice" and then that messed up the whole quiz! i dont understand!!

THis isn't a huge thing, but question #20 on 'The Easiest quiz in the world...' has no answer assigned to it. You still come out with 190 blessings if you get them all right..... you justmiss the bonus 100 for getting 100%

I had the same problem with the "same answer". I would answer a question, but it wouldn't go to the next question. I don't care about the blessings, but it would be nice to finish a quiz.

Just kidding guys, I've had 24 hrs to calm down (sticking head in freezer always helps!), before I once more tackle the quiz feature. I know you're working hard Erwin and you'll get around when things allow. As to the quizzes where people have forgotten to nominate a correct answer I have taken to pm-ing the author and they have been really good about it.

Thanks for the brain sprain Erwin, You're as good as a crossword.

There are bugs, but they are related to quizzes with very low time limits - I've changed the quiz to have a minimum of 20 seconds for now, and we shall see if that helps.

Erwin- there are so many "silly" quizzes now... can we go back to the system where a staff member must approve them before they go live? People are making quizzes for no other reason than to automatically give 300 blessings...

JeffreyLloyd is the unofficial quiz master - if you find any more, please PM him or PM me with the links and we will delete them.

If this goes on, I will start moderating all quizzes. The quiz maker has been warned in any case unofficially.

In fact, I've reduced the number of blessings you get from quizzes, to prevent abuse. As it is, members can abuse the quizzes by setting up phony quizzes with 1 account, and using another account to get free blessings, then deleting the quiz.

And since it's 2 accounts making all these fake quizzes to get blessings, and these 2 accounts are owned by the same member, I've banned this member from making any more quizzes, and will consider banning this member from the quizzes altogether, if this goes on.

If we're really, really good and behave ourselves with the quiz feature would you consider raising the blessings to 2 and 25 or 5 and 50 in a few weeks time?

(There's got to be a way to get more blessing for the Holy Grail... )

I don't consider this solution ideal. I don't think it is ever ideal if the many have to suffer because of the offenses of the few. Playing quizzes for "peanuts" of umpteen blessings isn't nearly as much fun. I'd like the quizzes to be worth the old amount of blessings. Here are some possible solutions that I offer.

(1) Deal with offenders themselves, by disallowing quiz making, banning, or whatever you deem appropriate.
OR
(2) Make all quizzes be approved by a moderator before they go public.
OR
(3) Let quizzes be submitted for approval or not. Those officially approved could be worth more blessings (10 per correct question), and those unapproved could be worth the current piddly amount of blessings.

Is someone working on the "can't answer twice bug"? It is still happening, and when you lose 30 blessings over this and then use ten to only get ten back for answering 10 questions, it really isn't worth it nor fun anymore.

I think a bad-apple de-bugger is in order

I think this is a WONDERFUL IDEA!!! The enemy will always find a way to abuse things.... I think the 2nd and 3rd suggestions of TSIDHOD were very well thought out. We need a way to deal with the offenders and not punish all of CF for the offenses of the few....or the ONE...
Excellent idea the quizzes giving out blessings! Well done! All who had a part in this idea!
