Read your bible daily. It may be difficult at first, you may not want to do it, you may think you don't have time. But try just one chapter a day.

You will find yourself growing and maturing quickly and your walk will become easier. The world will slip away and you will gladly focus fully on God.

And I'll agree with Stogus...but add to it to make a point to have some steady prayer sometime during the day - Humbling yourself before God is no easy, over-night accomplishment, and there is no way better to communicate with God than with open, honest, heart-bearing prayer. And as a personal preference, there is nothing quite like the attitude the heart takes when the knees are literally bent.

Keep in fellowship with other Christians! Find a group of them, and learn what it is that God's doing in their lives! (even if it's just here on the boards at first!) There is a resounding solidity in fellowship with other believers

And keep in mind that God is always with you...regardless how you may "feel" from time to time.
