New CF - finally...

Ok regardings the overzealous christians bit. If those were people outside this forum, elsewhere in the world. Does it really make it right for you to come here and do what you said you do even though no one here did that to you?

I'm not doing anything to anyone, except possible annoying the people that banned me.

Why not take it directly to who offended you instead of waving broad attacks against the general christians of the world or this forum for that matter.

I didn't mean to wave that accusation at every Christian on the forum. Though given the reaction of some of the people around here, it does apply to fair amount of Christians.

Understand that post was made in responce to two of my previous account being deleted when all I want answered is a simple [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth]ing question that seems to be unanswerable. It was directed at the mod who'se been a thorn in my side, no one else.

you were JustJack? Cool, always loved that name hehe.

I liked the account. Takes a long time to get a sock with that many posts, reps, blessing and age under the belt just to be discovered and wiped.

it's not something you can answer, Lisa.

I was asking Erwin if banned member will have a chance to appeal, and if we'll get to have impartial Christians and non-Christians to render a verdict, or at least people who currently aren't on staff.

I know the feeling, this isn't my original account either (old one not banned, just scrambled the password myself). But that just means it's time for JustJack2000! right?

I don't know. The last time I nominated an atheist to be un-banned, my PM was never acknowledged. When I said it publicly, I was given a warning.

I was just saying that if the process comes into place, I would bet that it will require a member in good standing to nominate someone who is banned. Then, membership would have to vote.

However, like I said, before I would nominate you. I would have to get to know you better, witness to you , and hear your side of the story. (Yes, OF COURSE, I am going to WITNESS to you! Do you think I am just being NICE to you?)

but in fairness..why let the general public vote to un ban a person? Erwin should be the one to unilaterally do that in light of his new rules. I mean, ones that weren't trolls etc.

Because Erwin is giving the site to us. He is acting in the role of servant rather than master. He is giving to us freewill. What we do with it is up to us. Do we glorify God or do we destroy the site? It is up to us now.

As far as the unbanning the banned, I think it should be a case by case basis. There is at least one RAD-ical Christian who has been banned that I do not think should ever come back. Of course, he very well may be here now for all I know, but he will never be unbanned under his RAD-ical Christian name if I can help it.

I had a couple friends banned cause they spoke the truth and stood firm on what they believed...and of course throw in a couple mods that thought they were all that and a bag of chips..and wala..banned. I am sorry, but that is wrong. I would like to see them UNbanned.

Hey...it happens all the time.

I got banned on election night 2004 for quoting Scripture.

Easy there, dear one. I didn't realize it was a life ban. Was it something said in anger - even the Truth in anger can come across in the wrong way. (as I learned that night back in November '04)

no, she was just pretty firm in her believes and not in anger per say. She comes across strongly...but anyway, I don't see Erwin or anyone else doing anything about it...so.....
