Unfortunately, only females responded to the survey

That's not going to be a very helpful survey!

I wonder if that's because women are more likely to be abused or women are more likely to answer surveys like that.

I glanced through it, and the answers are relatively consistent with what we already know about how abuse manifests, how the abused person eventually feels as a result, and what to do about it. I do think it is helpful if someone is being abused but does not recognize it as abuse. I also think the evaluation can be helpful, even for those who are not being abused, as a way of measuring areas of strength and areas for potential growth, or actually finally recognizing the behaviour for what it is - abuse.

Psychologists who study marriage-related issues face the problem of a higher percentage of women responding to surveys. Some men respond, but you have to ask yourself if there is a major self-selection bias. Maybe the men who respond to such surveys are different in a systematic way than the rest of the male population, which would be a serious threat to the validity of the research.

No studies have shown that to be false. What is true however is men are less willing to admit to being abused or controlled.

Society looks down on that from men.
