• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

But you know in your heart you don't believe thst right?

Yes, I know that Jesus is the Son of God. but I keep on having doubts whether I know in my heart He is lord. i think i may be going through what one of the other guys is going through on one of the other posts.

Thank you for praying for me, feeling a little better this afternoon. God Bless.

Hi hms lion,

It's definitely the OCD that has brought you back here again; I usually find that it's when we allow these obsessions even for a little bit, that we get caught into them. It can take a while to get out but know that it's God who sustains us during our struggles, none of this is apart from His care.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
- James 1:2-3

Those trials include doubting in the One who inspired this verse! If you're on medication and seeing a counselor, the best you can do is draw near to God. One way is by prayer; find a time, perhaps at night and lay out all your troubles and concerns before God, being honest in everything and, at the end of it all:

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
- 1 Peter 5:7

Remind yourself of His grace, His promises, His commandments and try to live by them, starving these "what if" thoughts. You've got through this last time, and I'm definitely confident that God will carry you through this, this time as well Philippians 1:6.

Praying for you.

Thank you. The last three days have been a bit better. I've been taking some sleeping pills to help with the insomnia. still getting anxiety spikes and moments of doubt, but they're not as bad as they have been. Thank you for praying, God Bless.
