  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sure, I can throw a numchuck across the room at mirrors, and shoot houseplants with a crossbow, but my best skill is drawing an animal I made up--it's a cross between a slug and a dragonfly....it's called a slugnfly, or a dragolug, which I know for a fact grow on the eastern coast of Argentina. I'm going to go there some day and buy a herd and raise them back here in Idaho. I'll be rich then, and you'll wish you knew me.

One of our pastors actually used ND for a sermon illustration this past Sunday ... talking about the Biblical theme of reversal of fortunes, and God using the unlikely to do amazing things.

i find so many opportunities to quote the movie..the other day one of the girls in my class (I'm a preschool teacher) came up to me and said
Miss Holly I need chapstick
I said Awww do your lips hurt real bad
and she of course replied yes!! My staff members have all watched the movie so I think that makes it even better.
My favorite part is when Napoleon does the dance at the school assembly...I laugh so hard every time!!!

BTW I am 24 and most of my friends are older than me and they LOVE it too!!!

Hee hee... funny, but it does grow on people! I was the one who rented it in my family (I was more than a little worried when I saw the MTV logo flash up on the screen) but it was totally awesome.... incredible! My Dad initially said "that's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back." But even he enjoys it when we put it on now!

Lucky! So... do ya ever take it over any sweet jumps?
