History: Parents, family unknown. Was born in Tortuga and dumped in on doorstep of inn/pub where was taken in and looked after until was old enough to fend for herself and was chucked out. (To earn stay, also worked in inn/pub without pay.)
Decided to go to sea, travel the world etc so signed as cook abroad the Goliath before going on to the Red Eagle and then the Horizon...
