Do you think science is working on it?

I notice the scientific elite around here seem to have lockjaw now.

Which is indicative of what happens, when I post a challenge.

I think in a lot of cases there isn't really anything for science to work on.

I mean what's the science involved regarding these people?:

I think in a lot of cases there isn't really anything for science to work on.

I'm sure they'll think of something.

For example, in the late 14th century, "child in the womb" was changed to "fetus."

This was effective enough, in my opinion, to lead to Roe v Wade getting passed, as it removed the criminal aspect of murder.

Not to mention easing the conscience of anyone considering an abortion.

I mean what's the science involved regarding these people?

Since academia considers people as animals, I'd guess something on the order of they being "pack animals,"* or some such bologna.

* As opposed to "draft animals."

Can you help me understand what branch of science would do this research?

Huh?

What was the Middle English way of saying and spelling 'child in the womb'?
You do know that 'fetus' is just a Latin word. Latin Definitions for: fetus (Latin Search) - Latin Dictionary and Grammar Resources - Latdict
And I'm presuming you have documentation of the history of your supposed word change. And how that led to abortion.

Does it matter?

Isn't consilience supposed to be the goal?

I'd say whichever branch gets there first, then the rest can readjust their figures and follow suit.

Do you care to answer my questions in the OP?
I think Ploverwing answered your questions fully and succinctly in post #2 in this thread. What more do you want?

Beats me.

I'll take a stab at it though and say:

Childe in the wombe.

You do know that 'fetus' is just a Latin word.

Yes.

I looked it up on the online etymology dictionary to get the century that "fetus" hit the airwaves.

fetus (n.)

late 14c., "the young while in the womb or egg" (tending to mean vaguely the embryo in the later stage of development), from Latin fetus (often, incorrectly, foetus) "the bearing or hatching of young, a bringing forth, pregnancy, childbearing, offspring," from suffixed form of PIE root

SOURCE: Online Etymology Dictionary

And I'm presuming you have documentation of the history of your supposed word change.

Solomon wrote ...

Ecclesiastes 11:5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.

14th century academia plutos it to "fetus."

And how that led to abortion.

It's called "fragmentation of conscience" by M. Scott Peck.

It's based on detailed long term studies on patients and their reactions to therapy, as well as social, medical and surgical treatments,

Just like many other medical treatments it's impossible to treat the condition without the subjective input of the patient.

There are a multitude of statistical studies about the long term efficacy of treating gender dysphoria.

Just to be clear, I understand the forum rules don't allow me to support transgender people and treatment... but I feel I should be able to make statements of fact about how psychiatric treatments.

I’m wondering what may have caused this to be so much more common nowadays than in the previous centuries?

It's not very common, it's just much more visible in our interconnected society... but an easy explanation is that it's not getting people immediately locked up or killed for indecency or sodomy.

I look for them to come up with SOMETHING to justify transgenderism.

A gene, DNA, copy error, sunspots.

Something ... anything to justify it.

Ok I hate to get off topic but James 5:19-20 actually says that a person who has passed from death to life can pass back to death again.

”My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.“
‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

I hope you don’t mind the off topic post brother.

When I was young I knew a guy, when I first met him was a pink-haired new waver, then became a violent racist skinhead, then became a Rastafarian reggae singer. I knew another guy who was a punk rocker who one day suddenly changed into a cowboy, with the cowboy hat and boots and Western shirts. My best guess is that people like this are just unhappy, and they think changing their outward identity will somehow make them happy. I think that's a naive thought. And I agree there's also narcissism involved.
