No I'm not. I said God isn't the author of confusion, speaking about His Word. That He sent confusion to people in scripture stories is a different subject. There was also some instruction to lie to certain people in the OT, I'm rereading that again and noticed that. So, I'm not changing my tune, I'm just talking about something else and you seem to be trying to be super technical about it and say its the same thing but you are incorrect about that.
A similar question could be "Why would anyone want to make a jumping car?"
There may be no good reason for either design that would make sense to any of us; aside from the designer wanted to do that.
Seems to me that someone makes their car jump in an effort to be different, and they become different by providing a vehicle with a capability that serves no useful purpose and can actually cause damage. In other words, using resources for something which serves no purpose just to attract attention.
Are you saying that God is like one of those show offs who tries to looks cool by having a jumping car?
Well but the thing is, The Angel was obviously in disguise, and appeared as a man (I couldn't tell the difference). It seems that God doesn't want His Angels to go around glowing and be openly seen widely, because He wants mankind to have faith in Him...unseen. There would be no room left about faith if God showed Himself that much. I believe that He can and does show Himself to men also, but it's one on one, for people who have a closer relationship with Him (I guess) so God does things through them. Heal people and such. Modern day Moses's sort of. God will eventually return and show Himself and all His glory, and every eye will see Him and every knee will bow at that point.
He is there. Real.
And I've learned that People largely have the wrong idea about Him. He really loves everybody, and I mean everybody, sooo much That...well crazy love for everyone. We throw in with Him and literally what now Lord? Continually, a lifestyle. That is having faith in Him and you have to trust Him...So I did it. Then He began moving in my life. Doing things...helping me! That's why I think that I have so many testimonies already. The scripture is true, it says, when you draw closer to God, then He will draw closer to you.
I'm no Moses nor an Elijah, but He's done enough to me that there is a pattern to it, and it is beyond a shadow of a doubt. Though I have not seen Him or beyond the veil yet. I will one day. I have no clue what's in store for me. All I know right now is, He told me to come to Ohio to live. That is the only reason that I would ever move from Colorful Colorado where I lived for the last, uh, 26 years. Ohio bites compared to Colorado. But I wanted to obey God. He told me to give my business in Colorado to my Son (one of them), and move back to Ohio where I'm from, but thought I had escaped...Lol.
I digress, sorry. Yeah the Angel was in disguise. I also suspect that he supernaturally made me not be able to think that he was Angel...maybe.
I think you need to be careful because you seem like a very gullible person. There are a lot of scam artists out there who take advantage of people like you for their own benefit like faith healers or televangelist and you seem like a person who would gladly buy their snake oil.
You sound like you are so scared of being deceived, that you even reject truth when it comes to you.
No I just exercise healthy skepticism which you should try once in a while too. It's easy to just proclaim that you have "the truth" without a demonstration.
Reject everything, and demand God to Prove Himself. That's arrogant. God doesn't roll like that.
Sure, add me to your prayer list if you want, I don't mind. I actually pray fairly regularly as it is, though. Is that right?! Well...is it cool if I add you to my prayer list? I'd love to pray for you. It would be so cool, to not show up alone on the Day of the Lord. Look who I brought with me Lord! Even one soul, one person. Not be alone.
I'll pray for you to receive what you seek. You should pray too. He will answer eventually, I kid you not.
No. That was called interjecting a bit of humor into a conversation. It something adults do when they talk sometimes, ok? I apologize if my subtle humor was lost on you and you didn't understand.
He does reveil Himself to those who seek to know HIM. He only reject those who reject Him. The door is wide open for WHO SO EVER is willing to enter in.it's reasonable to demand that He reveals himself to me.

My door has been open for 9 years. It's getting awkward inviting someone in for this long.He does reveil Himself to those who seek to know HIM. He only reject those who reject Him. The door is wide open for WHO SO EVER is willing to enter in.
I believe a lot of what HE created was just because He could do it.Are you saying that God is like one of those show offs who tries to looks cool by having a jumping car?

I have waited long periods of time for my prayers to be answered. Ten years once, 17 years another time. He does not change so I know that He was waiting on me. His timing is perfect.Remember that a day to the Lord is as a 1000 years with us. So if you're praying and the Lord says wait a minute...it could be awhile!
As long as I don't die in the waiting line, I'm good.Remember that a day to the Lord is as a 1000 years with us. So if you're praying and the Lord says wait a minute...it could be awhile!
I am pretty open to a lot of different possible courses of action on the deity's part, as long as I am a believer in the end. Though, I would prefer other people not have to die or suffer for it, that wouldn't be very fair. I would be perfectly content with just suddenly becoming a believer, or having events set such that I convert on my death bed. Free will isn't an issue, because it is my will to be a believer.Plus, what are you waiting for? A biblical scale response? A big emotional overcoming of your being?
Pfft, you think this deity sent a personal messenger to give you a couple grand, so I don't think asking for belief is really too small or too big of a thing to ask for.God doesn't always work like that. It happens here and there, but not always.
As long as I can't tell, I can't believe. Trust me, forcing oneself to believe is not always possible. He's there whether you feel Him or not.
No and No.
But I have had some undergrad work in bio and DNA. (40+ YEARS AGO) Enough to get a fair idea of the general workings.
