A few months ago my dad started going to church with my mom, me, my wife and kids. My mom went to the nusery to take care of one of my little ones. The service ended and my dad got saved while mom was in the back. Now I'm 32 and though my dad has always been a good hard working man, I never knew if he was right with God. I know he's always believed in God but.... ... I sat with him while he said the sinners prayer!!!! This was the biggest thing! IT WAS AMAZING! Praise God. I got to witness it. So we went home just like normal and while my mom was doing laundry I went to her and told her what happened. As she broke down and started crying she told me that she had been praying for this for 35 years. Ever since then my dad has really been different. I praise the Lord first for my dads salvation and second for letting me see it. It gives me strength every time I think about it. It continues to change me and my relationship with the Lord. I thought about it again today and it almost brought me to tears. Thank you Jesus

I am glad that he got saved, that is always a blessing -- but you are talking to a veteran Christian who got saved when she was 6 and a half (and I'm 27 now). Christianity is old to me now, perhaps with all the knowledge of the Bible God has blessed me with I should teach religion to the ignorant...

Nice! Praying for 35 years takes a lot of perseverance. It's proof you should never give up.

I had a granddaughter who recently died, we have been praying for over 20 years that he would get saved. He seemed to be hard towards my mom and religion. We do not know if He ever got saved, but my mom was recently mailed His Bible and now it is in her possession. It surprised us, because for someone who was hard towards religion he actually owned a Bible, and it has his name in it and everything. We wonder if that is proof that he ever went to church, or at least read his Bible. The sad truth is that we will never know. We will also never know whether he was saved or not, I just hope that he is in Heaven with Jesus right now.
