My nana aka nin passed away last year it's been so hard to deal with because she was the matriarch in our family. I wish we could shed our human flesh and not mourn and just rejoice because of where she went but it's so hard to do when you feel so alone. I was blessed to have her in my life into my late 40s how many can say that lol. Every year we had though was a blessing she was a perfect example of God's love because no one regardless of who they where and what they believed was ever turned away and that was an inspiring life to behold. I love you nin with all my heart and miss you so much

A beautiful picture of your nana. I understand where you’re at. We were both blessed to have our matriarchs with us into middle age. The hole is big and real. It’s so cliche, but the only thing that seems to help is time. You can keep her memory alive, however. Quote her, tell stories about her, keep some of her things. Tell me a good story about her.

Your Nin was beautiful and what a beautiful tribute you wrote about her. Truly her light still shines through you to everyone you share her life with. Thank you for introducing her to us so that we can know her through you too. I believe one day we will be reunited with our precious ones gone on before us, but the most fitting thing we can do daily is live our life out loud as a testimony of love, faith and hope until we meet again. God bless you as you remember your Nana and share her love with those around you.

Q
Hello my friend
My Nins name was Iva she was the most darling of ladies who loved to sing these beautiful mountain hymns. She sang in a trio for a good portion of her life she was a southern gal in Tn. The one thing about Nin I will never forget was when I needed her she didn't care what time it was she expected my phone call and she would talk to me forever and make sure I felt better when I got off the phone. I miss her so much but heart and memories are full of her love.

Wow! I’m already picturing her in my mind. She sounds wonderful. I know you will miss her, but take heart... you are made from her lovely spirit and will pass it on as she did to you. Peace.
