  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I love John Williams. I feel each of the original three Star Wars get better. Return of the Jedi built on Empire Strikes Back which built on Star Wars: A New Hope.

I also love the Indiana Jones scores. It's really hard to pick a favorite score of those three, but one theme I love is the "March of the Slave Children" from The Temple of Doom. Beautiful score.

Braveheart + Mohicans (track #9 cranking right now), I own

Someone posted a thread that dealt with, what makes a movie, a good movie.
I said the #1 thing is the Sound Track.Nothing deals with emotions better, than music.

Blues Brothers
The Matrix
Titanic
The Natural
Hoosiers
Rocky movies
Pulp Fiction
Kill Bill
Forest Gump

I'm sure there are alot more, but those are the ones I came up with.
I never saw West Side Story, or The Sound of Music, but I'm sure those might be up there, based on reputation.

Anything John Williams--even E.T. (though I hate the movie). I also LOVE all three LOTR soundtracks, POTC (Pirates), Ever After, The Three Musketeers. There are a bunch of old movie soundtracks I enjoy as well, like Kings Row and To Kill a Mockingbird.

OMGosh! I forgot LORT too! It's one of my all time favs. The composer did such an amazing job with it.

Sadly, we lost my all time favorite composer last November to MS, Michael Kamen. I really was looking forward to working with him someday. Here is the list of his works:

Liza's Pioneer Diary, The Next Man, Between The Lines, Stunts, Boardwalk, S*H*E*, Polyester, Pink Floyds's: The Wall, Venom, Dead Zone, Angelo My Love, Amazing TV Stories, Brazil, Lifeforce, Mona Lisa, Shanghai Suprise, Highlander, Edge of Darkness, Shoot for the Sun, Rita, Sue, and Bob Too, Lethal Weapon, Someone To Watch Over Me, Suspect, Adventures in Babysitting, Die Hard, Home Boy, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Action Jackson, Raggedy Rawney, Crusoe, Tales From The Crypt, Dead Bang, Road House, Lethal Weapon 2, Renegades, License To Kill, Rooftops, For Queen & Country, Die Hard 2, Krays, Cold Dog Soup, Company Business, Let Him Have It, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Nothing But Trouble, Hudson Hawk, Shining Through, Lethal Weapon 3, The Three Musketeers, Last Action Hero, Wilder Napalm, Splitting Heirs, Great Fantasy Adventure, Julia Migenes, Don Juan Demarco, Circle of Friends, Mr Hollands Opus, Die Hard With a Vengence, Stonewall, 101 Dalmations, Jack, Event Horizon, Inventing the Abbotts, The Winter Guest, Remember Me?, Heart Surgeon, Michael Kamen's Opus, What Dreams May Come, Lethal Weapon 4, From The Earth To The Moon, Guitar Concerto, Metallica: S&M, The Iron Giant, Michael Kamen's Concerto, For Saxaphone, X-Men, The New Moon In The Old Moon's Arms, Frequency, Band of Brothers, RADA Benefit Concert.

Along with many other projects like working with Aerosmith for a symphonic version of the song Dream On, he has a real collection of Masterpieces. He will be missed.
